Rodney Strong ~ Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Rodney Strong is a rich, lush, full bodied 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon with vibrant aromas of cherry and black olive, along with a spicy oak undertone. The Rodney Strong Winery is nestled in the rocky hills and valleys of the warmest regions in Sonoma County, the home of some of the most distinct cabs. It is known as the Russian River Valley just south of the town of Healdsburg. They are also an environmentally conscious winery and use solar power to produce their wine. Rodney strong winery has established their vineyards for over 55 years. They have a well knowledge staff that pick good sites, and good vineyards and are very careful about when the grapes are harvested. The wine is stored in traditional oak barrels and is carefully tended in the wine cellar they have on site. Their goal is to make the best wine. Tom Klein and his family purchased the winery in 1989 and has been a leader in sustainable practices within the wine industry having one of the largest solar energy systems in any winery throughout the world.
